Recently, I have had the privilege of working with a volleyball team. What’s great about it is, there are lots of them, they love to eat, and when I offer to cook for them they always are so excited! Volleyball players work really hard, as all athletes do, so every now and then they deserve a little pat on the back, a thank you, or in my case, some No Bake Nutella Cookies. I love having this group of girls around because it allows me to test out my latest cravings! A.k.a. – I’m thankful for them because they prevent me from eating past my limit
But when I found this recipe, it was a no brainer for these girls. I mean, there isn’t an ingredient they wouldn’t like. And I believe I speak for all chocolate lovers out there when I say.. you can’t go wrong when there’s chocolate involved.
Here’s the line-up we got for todays cookies: Sugar, Cocoa, Milk, Margarine, Vanilla, Salt, Peanut Butter, Nutella and Quick Oats.
I mean.. WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE. **But before we begin, please note that I DOUBLED the recipe because there are a LOT of girls on this team, and to not double it just didn’t feel right. To not scare you away from the delicious cookies, I am writing the original recepie, and if you want to double it, just double it! Simple enough, eh?
Let’s get this party started! Measure out 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup of cocoa, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/2 cup of margaine (1 stick of butter) in a sauce pan and bring it up to a boil.
In the mean time, measure out the rest of the ingredients – 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/4 cup nutella, 3 cups of quick oats, pinch of salt and 1 tsp of vanilla. Set it aside
Once it begins to boil, let it go for about a minute or so.
“Bubble, bubble, toiling trouble” MUAHAHAHA
Halloween is coming up you know..
Ok, enough silly talk. Once a minute has passed remove the boiling mixture from the heat and add in the rest of the ingredients.
Stir together the gooey, ooey, yummo, chocolaty concocktion until it is all combined
Grab a spoon, scoop up a spoonful of mixture, and place it on wax paper to cool
Keep spoonin’ ’till you get ’em all on there
Refigerate, then DEMOLISH! Enjoy!
