Butter & Burlap, operated by Painter Process Control Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you interact with our website, mobile app, and services.
We only send SMS notifications if you opt in during checkout, signup, or profile setup. SMS messages are transactional order updates such as confirmation, pickup readiness, shipping, or tracking. Message frequency varies by order activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or contact us directly to update your preferences.
On public storefront pages, you can choose whether to allow Google Analytics to measure visits. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded until you select Allow analytics in the Analytics privacy control. Declining does not prevent shopping or account access. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep this optional collection off.
When allowed, Google receives a public page address with query strings and fragments removed, a general page title, an approved referring website's origin when available, and technical information used by Google Analytics, such as browser/device information, timestamps, IP-derived approximate location and pseudonymous browser identifiers stored in analytics cookies. We use aggregate reports about visitors, sessions and public page views to improve the storefront. We do not send names, email addresses, account or order identifiers, cart contents, payment details, typed form values or help conversations through this collector. Account, admin and payment-return pages are excluded. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled for this collector.
Your analytics choice is saved in this browser's local storage. Analytics cookies use the bb_analytics prefix and may remain for up to two years unless removed earlier. Open Analytics privacy and select Revoke analytics or Decline analytics to stop further collection and remove this collector's accessible cookies. This does not remove data already received by Google. Clearing browser storage removes your saved choice; consent is not shared with our mobile apps or other browsers. Your information is never sold or rented. We use trusted service providers only as needed to operate Butter & Burlap, including Firebase for authentication, data storage, notifications, and abuse prevention; Stripe for payment processing and fraud prevention; Shippo for shipping rates and fulfillment; Google Routes for driving-distance delivery quotes; SendGrid for email; and Twilio for SMS. Google Routes receives the origin and destination addresses needed to calculate driving distance. Shipping providers receive the delivery and package information needed to quote and fulfill a shipment. Mobile opt-in data, SMS consent records, and phone numbers are not shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We take precautions to safeguard your information using encryption and secure storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
The Butter & Burlap app does not request precise location. If Stripe offers card scanning during checkout, camera access is optional and Butter & Burlap does not save a photo or video from that permission.
You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time. Signed-in customers can initiate permanent account deletion from My Account on the website or from the Account screen in the Butter & Burlap app. For security, we require you to confirm your current password before deletion.
Account deletion removes your sign-in, saved customer profile, preferences, promos, and notification registrations. Order, payment, gift-card, fulfillment, refund, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, and related communication records may be retained where needed for legal or legitimate business purposes. Retained records are disconnected from your customer account and personal details are removed when fulfillment or another required retention purpose no longer requires them.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have, we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of those changes.
